Scope and purpose
- Lead the implementation of Credit Insurance (Non-Payment Insurance policies, or similar) by managing distribution needs from internal teams and the IMI Corporate and Investment Banking Division. Coordinate daily activities related to Credit Insurance products in close collaboration with the Insurance and Real Money teams, including:
- Communicating with insurance brokers and insurers (including Lloyd’s Syndicates) to describe transactions, obtain pricing, and assess liquidity.
- Preparing internal documentation and presenting cases to management and relevant governing bodies to secure transaction approvals.
- Reviewing Non-Payment Insurance policies, encompassing Non-Payment Insurance contracts and Financial Guarantee contracts.
- Providing market intelligence on specific Credit Insurance terms and conditions.
- Executing Credit Insurance policies to ensure effective coverage.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with insurance companies and Lloyd’s Syndicates to enhance market insight, appetite, and innovation.
- Coordinate internal education and awareness initiatives on Credit distribution by explaining policy details, supporting procedural improvements, and promoting broader product adoption.

Experience required
Previous experience in:
- an Investment Bank (Credit Insurance team or distribution-related activities) and/or
- credit insurance broker working with Corporate/Investment Banks
- credit insurance company working with Corporate/Investment Banks.
At least 5-7 years of experience with existing relationships with insurance Brokers, Lloyds Syndicates, Insurance Companies.
Skills and competences required
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
- MBA qualification, post-graduate, professional education or similar would be advantageous
- Fluency in English as mandatory requirement; a second business language would be much appreciated
- Proven track record of success in a similar role, driving commercial growth and revenue generation, ideally in a multinational environment
- Good experience in credit risk insurance, capital markets, structured finance and other private and structured investment banking solutions
- Sales oriented, energetic with strong negotiating interpersonal skills to achieve sales goals
- Leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a high-performance team
- Ability and proven experience in leading/supporting complex negotiations in a team environment from beginning to end, with a deep understanding of deal structuring
- Proficiency in financial software (Bloomberg/Reuters, main Loan Markets info providers or comparable platforms) and tools (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
- Concrete experience in closing credit insurance policies, particularly in relation to Project Finance/Leveraged Finance and Sub Investment Grade ratings, though other underlying assets would be an additional plus
- Even though candidates would coordinate with internal & external Legal counsels, they should also be familiar with the legal language of insurance policies, as well as a basic understanding of financial models of underlying assets
- Familiarity with CRR regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements
