IMI CIB - Developer of Principal Protection Strategies for Capital Markets

Scope and purpose

We are looking for a software developer that will be actively involved in the development of solutions and strategies in the Principal Protection domain space.

Main activities:

• Development of Front Office systems related to portfolio insurance products, with a particular focus on equity underlying risk.
• Partnering with colleagues across different areas to design, implement and deliver solutions related to pricing and risk management automation for principal protection strategies.
• Managing applications for mission-critical trading systems to ensure high availability and meet time to market in line with business needs.

Experience required

Developer with at least 5 years of extensive experience in developing and managing front-office solutions for capital markets

Skills and competences required

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering 
• Mother tongue or fluent in Italian, fluent English
• Simultaneously handle programming and software management skills in production environments, particularly those that are mission-critical related to capital markets
• Deep Technical knowledge in:
  • Full Stack development with focus on React JS front-end, Java backend based on Microservices and J2EE to principal protection strategies for equity capital markets
  • Database programming through Oracle SQL, PostgreSQL and MongoDB
• Required Technical knowledge in:
  • Understanding JBoss EAP Management and OpenShift Microservices Architecture
  • Real time communication through Apache Kafka
  • Multi-thread Programming and high-performance computing based on TIBCO Grid Distributed Computing.
• Business know-how:
  • Experience and in-depth knowledge of the Principal Protection Strategies domain space, with particular focus on CPPI (Constant Proportion Portfolio Insurance) products.
  • Good understanding of a wide range of financial products, including derivatives, equities and fixed income
• Candidate is preferred to have gained the following experiences:
  • Practices, standards, and technologies used by Intesa Sanpaolo Group Technology Services with a particular focus on DevOps and Agile methodology. This includes proficiency in implementing continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, automated testing and deploying software containers in OpenShift infrastructure.
  • Proven hands-on experience in managing and troubleshooting mission-critical systems. The candidate should demonstrate a strong ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues promptly. Additionally, they must excel in managing expectations and communicating effectively with stakeholders, ensuring transparency and clarity in all interactions.
