It is looking for qualified profiles who want to be involved in a stimulating and challenging career opportunities with the following requirements: 

Scope and Purpose

 

1.    Maintain the Order Management System (Charles River) and the internal portfolio management system (Harpo) for trade record.
2.    Daily operational flows (e.g. cash and position reconciliation, trade validation/matching, settlement, cash management, margin usage, stock borrowing, corporate actions, account opening, etc).
3.    Working with other teams and stakeholders within the group to resolve any operational issues. 
4.    Liaise with counterparties (e.g. prime broker, execution broker, fund admin) to resolve issues.
5.    Prepare performance and risk analysis for the managed funds.
6.    Manage ad-hoc projects as integral part of the wider Business Team.
7.    Office Admin related tasks

Required Experience

 

The candidate is expected to have 3-5 yr operations experience in buy side or fund administrator

Competencies and Skills Required

 

Preferred technical skills:
1.    Strong operational knowledge of equity and fx markets across Asia 
2.    Strong knowledge on how to operate front to back operating systems like Charles River and Harpo.
3.    Understanding of regulatory requirements for Asian equity markets
4.    Ability to maintain relationships with counterparties such as brokers, custodian, administrator
5.    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve operational issues such as trade breaks, reconciliation, settlement issues and other data processing skills and ability to quickly learn proprietary software (incl. Harpoweb and Charles River)
6.    Basic understanding of risk analysis and produce and check risk reports 
7.    Ability to work and communicate with front office to facilitate them on their trading and resolve any operations issues.
8.    Ability to take on various project to streamline and strengthen the operational process.
9.    Willingness to take on office administration and business related tasks and assignments

Preferred competences required:
1.    Proven ability to work independently with high attention to detail
2.    Good communication skills and initiative to support portfolio managers and COO in a timely manner
3.    Strong interpersonal skills

Preferred qualifications required:
1.    Bachelors degree (Finance and Accounting preferable)
2.    3-5 years experience working in asset management firms
3.    Fluent in English; Mandarin and Cantonese preferred
