Data Science Expert

Scope and Purpose

We are looking for a skilled Data Scientist to join our team. In this role, you will develop new analytics models, monitor and improve the performance of existing ones. Your responsibilities will include:

• Continuous collaboration with colleagues from different business units.
• Find and explore different data sources to identify the most suitable ones.
• Analyse the data, evaluate its quality and discover hidden patterns.
• Perform appropriate feature engineering on the basis of business knowledge and data exploration insights.
• Find the most suitable models and train them on available data.
• Work in heterogeneous teams composed by scientists, engineers, and business experts.
• Manage simultaneous tasks.
• Communicate your results and present actionable conclusions to non-technical audience with effective spoken communication, visualization and writing
• Understand and analyse business needs to design solutions and define requirements coherently
•  Conduct business and technical impact analysis of proposed solutions
• Work with engineering team to bring analytical prototypes to production
• Ensure Models are compliant with company polides and procedures and support company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity Recuired Experience

Experience Required

• 3-5 years in the same role
• Experience in Reinforcement Learning (eg. Q-Learnine, A3C)
• Experience in Complex Networks
• Experience in Stream Processing
• Experience with big data tools (Scala, Spark, Hive, Pig. Sooop, NoSoL*
• Experience with deep learning frameworks like Keras, TensorFlow or PyTorch
• Experience with Containers and API technologies Experience in Operational Research
• Experience in agile software development methodologies
• Experience in the Financial sector (eg. Banking, Insurance)
• Experience in large companies

Competenze, Conoscenze e Qualifiche richieste

• MSc or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or related quantitative field
• Experience with main statistical modelling and machine learning techniques
• Expert in Python
• Experience in R
• Experience with data extraction tools (e.g. SAS Enterprise Guide)
• Experience with SQL
• Experience with software development processes (e .g. Git)
• Basic knowledge of technology to handle data
• Basic knowledge of project development steps: build, package and unit test
• Fluency in English (both speaking and writing)

All the following will be appreciated but none is strictly required:

• Experience in Text Mining and, in particular Natural Language Processing (eg. topic modelling, sentiment analysis, speech to text, embedding models, semantic analysis)
• Experience in Image Processing (eg. image classification, item recognition, segmentation) Experience in Deep Learning (eg. Wide and Deep Neural Networks. Recurrent Neural Networks.
• Convolutional Neural Network. Generative Adversarial Networks)
