Scope and Purpose
We are seeking a senior banking professional with deep expertise in financial markets, investment products & wealth management to lead the enhancement of our Wealth Management business. The successful candidate will drive the strategy, development & management of our investment product offering – including advisory solutions, investment funds, structured products & insurance – while ensuring alignment with client needs, regulatory requirements & market trends.
Main Responsabilities:
- Define & execute the Wealth Management product roadmap aligned with the Bank's commercial strategy and growth objectives;
- Lead the design & launch of new investment products, including mutual funds, structured deposits, investment certificates and alternative investment solutions;
- Conduct market research & competitive analysis to identify product opportunities & stay ahead of market trends;
- Enhance existing product programs to ensure the Bank delivers a best-in-class offering & client experience;
- Drive growth in Assets under Management (AuM) & fee-based revenues;
- Develop sales leads generation from internal sources, client referrals & personal network;
- Proactively develop client relationships, anticipate & provide solutions to client needs & give high priority to client satisfaction;
- Promote the education of clients in the wealth management space & provide financial advisory services to enhance the quality of their investment decisions;
- Monitor product profitability & recommend enhancements or rationalization;
- Work closely with Retail, Corporate, Risk, Compliance, Legal & ICT to ensure seamless product development & execution;
- Collaborate with Group functions & Parent Company counterparts to leverage best practices & global solutions;
- Ensure all products comply with applicable regulatory requirements (Bank of Albania, AFSA & Group standards);
- Work closely with Legal, Compliance & Risk to manage client contracts, disclosures, and regulatory filings;
- Maintain a robust control environment ensuring understanding of risk & implementation of mitigation measures;
- Build, lead & develop a high-performing Wealth Management team, including relationship managers, product specialists & support functions;
- Foster a culture of high performance, client-centricity & compliance adherence;
- Provide coaching, training & professional development to team members.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Deep understanding of investment products, asset allocation & holistic financial planning;
- Strong knowledge of financial markets, trading platforms & investment solutions;
- Proven leadership capability with strong people management & decision-making skills;
- Exceptional networking skills & client relationship management abilities;
- Strategic mindset combined with hands-on execution capability;
- Strong communication & presentation skills, with ability to make complex investment concepts accessible to clients & stakeholders;
- Commercial instinct & ability to build opportunities into revenue.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Banking, or a related field;
- Professional certifications such as CFA, CFP, CIWM, or equivalent are a strong advantage;
- Minimum 15 years' experience in banking, with a strong focus on financial markets, investment products & wealth management;
- Proven track record of growing Assets under Management (AuM) and high-quality client relationships;
- Senior-level experience in wealth management, private banking, asset management, or investment advisory;
- Experience in product development & management within a regulated financial environment;
- Knowledge for the systems of the bank (core banking, reporting systems etc.);
- Fluent in English & Italian is plus;
