Scope and Purpose
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Managing Director to lead and grow the activity of the Supply Chain Finance, Trade Finance, Structured Working Capital and Structured Export Finance products in the Asia Pacific region (including India).
The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in originating, structuring and executing transactions and leading the end-to-end products life cycle. Coverage includes Corporates/ Financial Institutions/ ECAs/DFIs.
He/She will be responsible for delivering high-quality solutions that meet and possibly exceed customer expectations, developing the business further in the geographical area in scope, strengthening the relationship with top tier clients/business partners and driving collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Drive the expansion, the origination and business development of the SCF, Trade and SEF activities in Asia Pacific, including India.
- Develop long term product focused relationships with key clients/business partners and originating and structuring transactions and customized solutions.
- Develop a comprehensive product strategy and vision focused on key products to deliver significant value to customers.
- Fostering excellent cooperation with Global Coverage and Product Structures, as well as with the bank’s relevant internal structures, including Credit, Risk, Audit, Legal and Compliance, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Lead the team in the region and coordinating the activity of desks located in Hong Kong, Singapore, Shanghai, Sidney.
- Manage P&L including delivery of revenue goals, and introduction of specific initiatives to measure and improve products profitability.
- Develop relationships with FIs, NBFI, Fintech, partner Banks in the region and extend the range of products.
- Liaise with and provide data and reports to hierarchical and functional managers.
Required Experience
Minimum 15 years of relevant product experience within a banking or financial services environment, with a strong understanding of market dynamics and customer needs.
Demonstrated previous experience in working with high complexity, in international environment and being exposed to corporate and institutional clients.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Banking, Finance, or Business Administration
MBA or Master Degree Program in Banking and / or Finance would be a plus
Relevant demonstrated experience and expertise in working capital solutions, in form of supply chain finance, receivables financing, trade finance, and structured export finance .
Strong understanding of market dynamics, Asian customer needs, regulatory, legal and compliance local and international framework,
Proven track record of leading teams in the region consistently achieving commercial targets and products development objectives.
Strong analytical skills and ability to adequately assess risks and to effectively make strategic decisions.
Client-focused with a relationship-driven mindset and commercial acumen, enjoying connecting with internal and external clients.
