Overview

 

You will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational oversight across multiple critical functions, ensuring efficiency and full compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. 
You will encompass the management of the following functions: 
•    Accounting & Regulatory Reporting
•    Administration
•    Loan Admin & Middle Office
•    Trade Operations
•    Remittance & Settlement
•    IT
to support the Branch business objectives.

What you'll be doing

 

The key responsibilities are:

  • Ensure the operational and administrative governance of the Branch, guaranteeing the correct and efficient execution of processes in terms of costs incurred and service level delivered
  • Ensure that the Branch’s operating procedures comply with the provisions issued by the Bank’s central structures, in compliance with Head Office and local regulations
  • Ensure the maintenance of the qualitative/quantitative level of the Branch’s instrumental resources, in line with the Bank’s guidelines
  • Act as the main point of contact with the relevant functions of the CIB Division and the Group for support activities within the scope of the Branch’s project activities
  • Ensure coordination of activities in the accounting and administration, operations, and information technology functions of the Branch, according to the guidelines of the Bank’s relevant functions
  • Ensure the application of correct accounting and tax principles, in compliance with the provisions received from the relevant central Bank structures, local and relevant supervisory authorities (Bank of Italy and European Central Bank), and ensure the accuracy of the reporting produced
  • Support the General Manager of the Branch through the continuous monitoring of the Branch performance and budget during the financial year
  • Oversee regulatory reporting to MAS, ensuring compliance with the Banking Act and MAS Notices
  • Oversee annual statutory reporting cycle, tax computations, and FATCA/CRS submissions (including oversight of activities performed by internal teams and/or external advisors)
  • Maintain internal control, safeguards and coordinate the activities with Head Office, to minimize operational risks
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the reporting functions, fostering a culture of accountability, efficiency, continuous improvement and collaboration
  • Participate, collaborate and support projects and initiatives across the Branch departments (eg. Compliance, Business Continuity Management, etc)
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Branch management or Head Office as needed from time to time

Who we are looking for

 

If you want to turn your passion into a career and you have the following characteristics, we are waiting for you: 

  • At least 15 years of experience in banking operations, with at least 5 years in a senior management or leadership role
  • Proven experience is overseeing branch operations such as Operations, Trade Finance, Loan Administration etc.
  • Familiarity with core banking systems, accounting and operational policies and IT infrastructure (Preferred but not required)
  • Experience with European banking group
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related discipline;
  • Strong knowledge in banking regulations
