Credit Analyst Associate

Overview

As a Credit analyst, you will assess creditworthiness of prospective and existing borrowers, support decision-making of Head of Credit and Credit Committee, handle standard and complex credit transactions, including acquisition financing, cross-border structures and restructuring financing. Finally, you will contribute to ongoing credit initiatives within the Bank.

What you'll be doing

Key Responsibilities:
•    Prepare credit notes with focus on financial and operational analysis of borrowers and proposed credit facilities 
•    Conduct annual credit reviews and internal rating assessments of existing borrowers within defined timelines 
•    Collect and analyze financial and market information on borrowers, including financial reports, projections, market data and external research 
•    Participate in bank meetings, roadshows and client meetings 
•    Develop credit analysis and proposals 
•    Recommend appropriate credit exposure levels in line with internal guidelines 
•    Define credit structure, including covenants and guarantees 
•    Support Relationship Managers in credit proposals, periodic reviews, waiver requests
•    Perform additional credit-related activities as assigned by Head of Credit

Who we are looking for

If you want to turn your passion into a career and you have the following characteristics, we are waiting for you: 

• Minimum bachelor’s degree, preferably, in economics, accounting or business administration with focus in Finance
• 3-5 years of of experience in credit analysis of large Brazilian or International banks focused on the Corporate Banking segment
• Written and verbal communication capabilities in Portuguese and English; 
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel;
• Knowledge of the local Credit market and experience with financial analysis techniques, including financial projections;
• Familiarity with the Brazilian credit products;
• Knowledge of the banking regulatory environment in Brazil
