Scope and Purpose

Intesa Sanpaolo is looking for a Senior Professional of Global Transaction Banking ("GTB") for its French Branch located in Paris. The Senior Professional of GTB will work closely with the coverage team for the French market to support the growth and profitability of the current customer base, as well as to identify new potential customers. In line with the commercial indications provided by the GTB Department and International Department, the role holder will also be accountable for identifying and analyzing the relevant enablers to further develop GTB products and services in the region.

1.    Responsible for the development of GTB business with international large corporates in France and for originating new business in coordination with GTB Department / other GTB specialists across ISP International Network as well as other relevant stakeholders.
2.    Increase the current customer base by leveraging on precedent experience and knowledge of local market and network.

3.    Promote business development initiatives for new and existing clients. Identify new revenue streams by analyzing and providing innovative solutions to the customers, thus maximizing profitability metrics/ enhance returns of the clients' portfolio.

4.    Collaborate closely with the local coverage team to drive sales in the assigned market, and to build up knowledge of GTB business in all related activities with customers base. 
5.    Primary face to counterparties, representing the overall GTB platform within France.  Produce client pitches and circulate meeting reports within the relevant structure of the Bank. Ensure close alignment with all relevant stakeholders.
6.    Cooperate with and provide active support to the relevant teams / functions of the branch to increase origination and execution capabilities. 
7.    Take part in internal and external business events, road shows and seminars to increase visibility of the Bank across the local market
8.     Promptly inform Head Office on any substantial mandatory changes in local regulation and/or local market developments.
9.    Stay abreast of market developments in GTB business, closely monitoring market trends in the region.

Required Experience

1)    Minimum 15 years' experience in GTB products coverage, with a current role as Senior Professional GTB or equivalent. Position in Global International Banks will be a plus.
2)    Good knowledge of the market and deep understanding of international business and its practices in GTB range of products and services.
3)    Already well-established relationships with large corporates in France.
4)    Strong leadership skills with a team-oriented and collaborative approach to work. 
5)    French mother tongue. Fluency in English. Italian knowledge will be considered a plus.

1)    Product knowledge.    Thorough knowledge of the whole range of GTB products and services. Structuring and execution capabilities. Deep knowledge and understanding of the corporate banking business.
2)    Marketing and customer relations.    Demonstrated track record of effectively managing portfolio of international clients / executing GTB products and solutions. Strong commercial and relationship skills.
3)    Network knowledge.    Strong knowledge of the French market and key players in the European market
4)    Cross-selling.    Proactive approach in identifying / assessing all the potential cross selling opportunities potentially linked to GTB business in order to create innovative, multidisciplinary financing solutions and maximise returns for the bank.
5)    Analytical Skills.     Ability to analyze market and potential opportunities coming from the customer base. 
6)    Problem solving / decision making.    Ability to create appropriate solutions that meet both the customer's needs and the Bank's requirements.
