Scope and Purpose

Candidate will be a member of Intesa Sanpaolo S.p.A., New York Branch Structured Finance Americas area, specifically focusing on Leveraged Finance opportunities to originate, evaluate, structure, and execute loan transactions for non-investment grade companies across a variety of industries in support of leveraged buyouts, acquisition financings, refinancing's and restructurings.  Candidate will:
• be responsible for the full execution of a transaction, including preparing marketing materials, structuring,  due diligence, credit proposals, negotiation of legal documentation, closing and funding;
• collaborate and coordinate with other areas of the bank to ensure smooth marketing and deal execution;
• monitor the credit performance of the portfolio for which primary responsibility is given;
• maximize the cross-selling and ancillary revenue contribution from the loan commitments; and,
• assist with the training and development of junior colleagues, assigned to the deal team.

Required Experience

5-6+ years of relevant experience

Competencies Required

• Strong understanding and competency of all aspects of the leveraged finance and capital markets businesses, from origination to structuring to execution, with proven strong Credit, Analytical and Financial Modelling skills
• Thorough knowledge of financial products, Finance, Accounting, and documentation
• Ability to analyze and conduct independent due diligence of transactions, plus identify industry/market trends
• Extensive background in Credit Analysis and Financial Modelling
• Strong communication skills: ability to get ideas across and present proposals (risks and mitigants) in a clear, concise, and persuasive manner
• Undergraduate Degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting; MBA a plus
• Formal Credit Training, a plus
