Scope and Purpose

 

The Assistant Relationship Manager will support the Relationship Manager (RM) with business development and managing the relationship with the branch's Global Corporate Italo-Related / international Clients assigned. She/He/They will support the RM in the structuring of products and services to meet customer need, as well as with the development and enhancement of current and prospective client relationships.  The Assistant RM will corroborate with the RM in meeting with clients, including negotiating and structuring facilities and deals, both on a bi-lateral basis or in syndication, preparing call reports, liaising with GRMs and other Head Office departments. The Assistant RM will ensure the execution of all administrative requirements in support of the Relationship Manager.

 

  • Assist the Relationship Manager in assessing management trend and economic performance of the applicable customer and activating the necessary corrective actions
  • Collaborate with the RM in structuring the Bank’s products and services to meet customer needs and provide support in the development and enhancement of current and prospective client relationships
  • Accompany and support the RM in meeting with clients, negotiating and structuring facilities and deals both on a bi-lateral basis or in syndication, preparing call reports and liaising with GRMs and HO departments
  • Assist the RM in identifying business opportunities and with cross-selling Intesa Sanpaolo’s financial products and services, which includes other Corporate and Investment Banking products, etc.
  • Support the Relationship Manager in meeting profitability and achieving commercial and risk goals for the referenced customer
  • Liaise with the Branch's other Departments and Group structures on business related banking activities, and in particular collaborating and coordinating with Credit Officers in preparing credit proposals
  • Ensure the Branch’s KYC (Know Your Customers) and CDD (Customers Due Diligence) procedures and directives are strictly adhered to
  • Manage all preliminary activities and prepare a draft of the surety policy (excluding the assignment proposal)
  • Perform specific administrative activities related to customer management
  • Guarantee the quality of the work performed, as well as in respect to the terms, and intervening operatively on urgent transactions
  • Perform management reporting and marketing research responsibilities as directed/assigned by management on occasion
     

Required Experience

 

Minimum of 2 years practical experience with another international bank or within the financial services industry

Required Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics or International Business from an accredited education institution or comparable/related work experience 
  • Master of Science/MBA, a plus
  • Well organized, dedicated and detail attentive 
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively
  • Capacity to provide outstanding customer service through listening, eliciting information, comprehending, and resolving complex issues efficiently
  • Thorough knowledge and familiarity with credit products and procedure
  • Capability to co-ordinate with other Departments and keen to learn
  • Extensive knowledge of Banking policies and procedures and its control environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with clients, senior management, internal departments, other banks and counterparties
  • Superior MS Office skills to prepare communication, reports and presentations by utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 
     

The salary range for this job offer would be 70k - 100k $
