IMI CIB - Treasury Settlement Specialist - U.S. Gov. Bond and Repo

Scope and Purpose

 

  • Update and correct anagraphic data on new bonds coming from K+ to Si/RE system.
  • Input and verify, as necessary, trades for securities, derivatives and Repos.
  • Confirm all Bond and Repo trades done via phone, e-mail, TradeWeb or Bloomberg
  • Input all Repos/Reverse Repos into SIRE level I and II.
  • Input all US Government bonds/Repos and Cash movements into BONY BDC system.
  • Monitor BONY systems throughout the day for bonds returned or problems.
  • Monitor and reconcile custody and SIRE accounts systems for interest coupons
  • Verify and process cash settlement and associated accounting entries.
  • Notify Trader and department heads of all bond fails; maintain log of all fails.
  • Prepare/Maintain/Receive/Pay TMPG fail charge and charge back logs and reports with counterparties
  • Prepare/Maintain/Reconcile BDC monthly statement of fees.
  • Fed Reserve Discount Window Operations and NYS DFS Pledge Account Operations
  • Maintain, pre DFA/EMIR, bilateral IRS positions until expiration
  • Act as back-up for other functions in the department under the direction of the supervisor

Required Experience

 

3-5 years in the same role.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge

 

  • experience in an in accounting and procurement for a bank or financial institutions
  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant disciplines such as Accounting, Finance or Mathematics
  • A combination of practical experience in the technical discipline coupled with an appropriate educational background is necessary for the position
  • Technical knowledge of US Treasury/Agency and Corporate Bonds.
  • Working knowledge of BDC, INFORM and CEDEL.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of BSA/AML/OFAC rules and regulations; KYC policies and procedures.
  • Hands-on knowledge of payment processing, practices, applications and procedures, including SWIFT, CHIPS and FedWire functionality.
  • Practical understanding of a Bank’s control environment and its policies and procedures, including specific knowledge of and adherence to a bank’s Operation Guides
  • Professional experience with or exposure to OFAC/Sanctions programs/applications within the banking industry; wholesale banking experience preferred

 

The salary range for this position is 80k $- 110k $
