Scope and Purpose
Support the syndication of loan transactions as follows:
- Maintain accurate and updated internal database of syndicated transactions in market for internal use
- Track and maintain proper P&L records for the department
- Maintain proper documentation and manage the league table ranking process
- Maintain proper syndication files for agented deals, deals sourced and secondary loan trades
- Manage the closing and settlement process on secondary trades
- Maintain proper filing for LSTA documentation and keep updated LSTA library/filing system
- Assist the Department Head in the preparation of marketing materials to be used in the “pitching” process with existing or potential clients
- Participate in the preparation of the “Weekly Loan Syndication” newsletter and bi-weekly “Latin America” newsletter
- Perform administrative functions with respect to syndicated facilities where the bank is the Administrative Agent. These functions include:
- communication/distribution of compliance reports, financials, rate settings, interest payments and fee payments to the pool of participating banks. These communications are made in coordination with our Loan Administration Department and the Borrower under the supervision of the Department Head
Required Experience
7 years of working experience in the corporate banking space, of which at least 2-3 years of relevant professional experience in the function offered or closely related banking role, with comprehensive knowledge of Syndicated Loans and debt capital market products
Required Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration with emphasis on corporate finance, financial accounting, economics
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to understand and analyse syndicated deal structures and loan documentationThorough knowledge of financial instruments and debt capital markets are a must
- Practical knowledge of loan documentation is essential as well as knowledge of LSTA practices and standard settlement documentation
- Prior training and knowledge of the loan syndication market, including structuring, distribution and closing phases, is essential
- Knowledge of commercial, corporate and investment banking products, with focus on corporate and structure financing deals
- Credit/financial analysis skills
- Knowledge of legal documentation
- Knowledge of Italian or Spanish, a plus
- Computer literacy, particularly in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and excellent navigation skills are a pre-requisite.
- Practical knowledge on how to navigate and use Bloomberg, LPC, Dealogic.
The salary range for this position is 140k-200k $
