Scope and Purpose
The Associate will be part of a strategic team aimed at strengthening the Operating Model of Structured Credit / Structured Finance (SF) through the development of "Centers of Excellence & Competence" dedicated to cover all asset classes under the Structured Credit model (including Specialized Lending, MLT Complex, LBOs, Fund Finance, etc.) with a particular focus on debt structuring, and portfolio management, to provide added value to the business area, optimize cross-sell, also with the support of the relationship units.
- Work closely with the debt origination team, the respective industry teams and other departments, to evaluate new transactions, review project documents, deal structuring, negotiations, and complete credit applications.
- Respond to various client requests, explain transactions structure to other support functions (i.e. legal, treasury, credit administration, loan operations, and control functions etc.), and assist risk and credit teams as questions arise.
- Prepare credit applications, outlining rationale, structure, terms and conditions, financial modelling and sensitivity analysis, return analysis, credit rating, as well as other requested or required forms or information needed (including full familiarity with all relevant Bank tools).
- Evaluate specialized and complex investments utilizing all available sources of information including governing documents, published research, financial reports, news, rating agency reports, and market information.
- Analyse transaction documents focusing on identifying credit risks and evaluating mitigants.
- Undertake credit reviews, structuring ideas and research; conduct in-depth collateral and structural analysis and perform accurate and reliable compliance checks. Ongoing monitor of portfolio names (covenants, security, project progress, etc.)
- Prepare credit memoranda, pitch-books and market research, etc.
Required Experience
3-4 years of experience in in Structured Finance (in debt, equity, advisory or rating capacity).
Required Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge
- Financial modelling proficiency is key
- MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills to manage complex processes
The salary range for this position is 100k - 150k $
