Scope and Purpose
- execution of transactions (as a part of the deal team), including financial modelling, due diligence analysis, debt structuring, credit/risk proposals, business committee docs, internal rating materials, review of legal documentation, preparation of marketing materials (together with debt origination/loan syndication/DCM teams), closing and funding;
- collaborate with other areas of the bank to ensure smooth approval processes and deal execution;
- responsibility in monitoring and management of the credit performance of the portfolio;
- andsupport senior colleagues assigned to the deal team.
Required Experience
3-4 years of relevant experience in a leveraged finance team, ideally in major international or Italian bank with exposure to the structuring and the arrangement of leveraged financings
A list of the transactions followed by the candidate would be recommended (subject to confidentiality).
Required Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge
- Degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting
- Capabilities in teamworking and process management (with tight deadlines) with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong degree of commitment and flexible mindset
- Strong communication skills: ability to present proposals (risks and mitigants) in a clear and convincing manner
- Able to work in a team with senior resources whilst carrying some activities in autonomy and to cope with high levels of pressure
- Proficient in English (spoken and written)
- Understanding and knowledge of the leveraged finance and capital markets businesses, with experience in structuring and execution
- Experience in credit analysis, financial modelling, debt structuring, rating analysis, portfolio analysis and legal documentation
- Ability to conduct independent due diligence of transactions / identify industry and market trends
- Background in preparation of marketing materials / commercial pitches to clients
