Scope and Purpose
The ICT & Data Governance Specialist will support the bank’s Demand & ICT Governance department in overseeing outsourced IT providers and ensuring alignment with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
The role focuses on strengthening ICT governance, operational resilience and data management capabilities in line with DORA and BCBS 239 principles.
The candidate will contribute to the monitoring, assessment and control of ICT risks, data quality and reporting processes across the organization.
Operating with mid-seniority, the resource will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure effective oversight, accurate data aggregation and timely regulatory reporting.
The position requires a balance of analytical skills, compliance awareness and the ability to interface with technical and business teams.
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Support the governance and oversight of outsourced IT providers, ensuring service delivery, performance and controls comply with contractual and regulatory expectations (incl. DORA requirements).
• Assist in ICT risk identification, assessment and monitoring, contributing to operational resilience planning and incident management follow-up.
• Contribute to the implementation of data governance policies, standards and data quality controls in alignment with BCBS 239 principles for data aggregation and risk reporting.
• Monitor and support the improvement of end-to-end data lineage, data accuracy, completeness and timeliness for regulatory reporting processes.
• Participate in the definition and tracking of KPIs/KRIs related to ICT services, data governance and outsourcing oversight.
• Coordinate with business units, compliance, risk management and IT vendors to ensure consistent execution of governance processes and remediation actions.
• Support documentation, audit readiness and evidence collection for internal audits, supervisory reviews and regulatory inspections.
• Contribute to change management, demand management and impact assessment activities for ICT and data-related initiatives.
• Prepare periodic reports and management updates on ICT governance topics, outsourcing performance, data governance status and regulatory compliance progress.
• Provide technical assistance to internal customers to facilitate business team activities
• Technical assistance via phone or email.
Required Experience
2-3 years of experience in a similar position
Required Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge
- Master degree
- Knowledge of ICT governance frameworks and regulatory requirements, including DORA, EBA Guidelines on Outsourcing, and ICT risk management principles.
- Understanding of BCBS 239 standards, data aggregation processes, and regulatory reporting workflows within financial institutions.
- Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) and vendor performance monitoring, including SLAs, KPIs and control mechanisms.
- Ability to interpret ICT risk assessments, incident reports and continuity/resilience measures.
- Knowledge of data governance concepts such as data quality, metadata, data lineage and data ownership models.
- Experience with governance tools, reporting dashboards, or data management platforms (e.g., data catalogs, issue trackers, ITSM tools).
- Basic understanding of IT architecture, information security controls and application landscapes (even if development is outsourced).
- Strong documentation and compliance reporting skills, with attention to auditability and traceability.
