Scope and Purpose
• Focus on supporting the growth on the infrastructure and Project Finance (“PF”) loan platform with other product and relationship teams leading internal deal teams, supporting the client selection process, and effectively carrying out external marketing activities
• Key responsibility for the origination, execution and distribution of a variety of structured project financings for a range of industries and infrastructure projects in EMEA
• Managing the syndication process of loans from initial underwriting through successful distribution to a broad base of investors
• Coordinate the other members of the team in their activities
• Manage market risk deriving from proposed transactions;
• Monitor market trends in the different loan asset classes and maintain proprietary market info databases;
• Support product desk in the credit proposal process identifying the target final take for the transaction;
• Define distribution strategy identifying potential participants in the transaction;
• Follow investors invited in syndication at all stages, in coordination to the extent necessary with product desks and other internal functions
Required Experience
• Solid experience in the Loan syndication and Debt Capital Markets having worked on PF and Infrastructure transactions in either an origination, distribution or advisory capacity in a lead role
• Distribution expertise within the infrastructure and PF market with knowledge of banks, alternative lenders and investors
• Loan/ Leverage capital market or syndication professional with existing client list. At least 12 years of experience
Required Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
• MBA qualification as an advantage
• Excellent communication skills in English and a second language an advantage but not required
• Experience in a leading infrastructure and PF deals within the loan syndication franchise
• Knowledge of commercial and investment banking products
• Strong negotiating, sales and interpersonal skills,
• Ability to work in team environment and lead multi-party negotiations.
• Advanced computer skills, particularly in Excel, Word and PowerPoint/ Bloomberg/ Reuters and main Loan Markets info providers
• Working knowledge and understanding in loan syndication and/or infrastructure and PF in UK market
• Demonstrated connectivity with established bank and non-bank loan investors (i.e., CLOs, Hedge Funds, Private Equity and Infra Funds) in UK
• Extensive network within loan syndication bankers with access to senior decision makers
• Ability to build trusting working relationships
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
• Works effectively leading cross functional teams, being able to manage internal expectations and needs, maintaining open communication across deal teams
• Solid understanding of accounting and financial statements.
• Attention to detail and ability to constructively review work of others.
• Ability to work extended hours as deal flow dictates, reliable, responsible, dedicated and committed
