Scope and Purpose

  • Manage disciplinary/grievance/performance management process providing the necessary advice and support to line managers and employees
  • Manage the Payroll activities for the branch along with staff benefits
  • Be the first point of contact for the assigned departments and to manage the Employee life cycle and manage the HR 360 activities as Senior HRBP
  • Provide advice and ensure prompt investigation for all legal related matters
  • Work with the UK & MEA Head of HR, HR Manager, the Compliance function along with the Management, to ensure compliance with all HR policies and regulatory requirements, in particular the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR).
  • Sign off on all regulatory references (given/received) where flags have been raised and liaise with the Compliance function as appropriate
  • Anticipate the changing HR regulatory requirements and evaluate HR policies and practices changes required.

  • Act as first point of contact for all HR legal or regulatory issues.  expebcib

Scope and Purpose

  • Manage the background checks process with the support of the HR administrators and HR business partners  to ensure that SMFs and Certified staff are properly screened and to ensure annual rescreening of staff supporting their re-certification as fit and proper.
  • Work with the line managers for the mandatory training
  • Work with the line managers and employees to facilitate problems solving
  • Build solid and trusting relationship with line managers and across the organization and be the first point of contact for all employees relations issues.
  • Support the Head of HR  & HR Manager in developing, implementing and overseeing the administration of Employee Relations programs 

Required Experience

Proven experience in defining HR policies and procedures to ensure employment and work practices demonstrate a thorough understanding of applicable laws and regulations, while also being aware of the company's larger human capital resources objectives

Background and proven experience for project managing HR regulatory projects such as Brexit, SMCR

Proven experience in management and application of grievances, disciplinaries and performance management or employee relations issues

Proven experience in managing outsourced payroll and staff benefits

HR Experience in international financial services industry

Ideally with 10-15 years of experience

Proven experience in management and application of grievances, disciplinaries and performance management or employee relations issues

HR Experience in international financial services industry

Required Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge

Proficient knowledge of UK employment legislation

In-depth understanding of the SM&CR regime and the impacts on the HR activity

In-depth understanding of Payroll and staff benefits

Understanding of banking compensation regulations generally

Able to analyse complex information (e.g., legal and regulatory texts)

Proven ability to grasp new concepts quickly and a curiosity for learning new things

Excellent communications skills; verbal & written

Enjoys high volume, fast paced environment

Ability to manage projects, good time management and organizational abilities

Strong work ethic, attention to detail and an organized approach to tight deadlines and deliver results under pressure

A great team-player with a high level of integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality

Educated to Degree level

CIPD qualified or studying towards this qualification

Microsoft Office at intermediate/proficiency level
