Scope and Purpose
With focus on the MEA Region or relevant geographical area assigned, reporting to the Head of HR for UK & MEA Region, in liaison with Head Office and local designated HR teams:
HR STRATEGY
• Work side by side with the Head of HR to support business strategy for the MEA Region
• Support the Head of HR in identifying, researching and run operational HR issues, liaising with HO colleagues for any "shared" HR management issues
• Contribute providing information/data, analysis and recommendations to support organizational strategic thinking and direction
• Establish HR objectives in line with Head of HR remit and organizational objectives
• Support Head of HR on ad hoc HR projects
EMPLOYEE RELATIONSHIP
• Work with the management team and employees to coach and facilitate problems solving
• Support the Head of HR in developing, implementing and administering Employee Relations programs
• Provide counsel and ensure prompt investigation for all legal related matters
• Build solid and trusting relationship with BU managers
REGULATORY
• Oversee and manage the HR processes and activities related to regulatory and legal framework to ensure compliance and make proposals to update where relevant
• Participate to meetings and committees in support to the Head of HR
TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT
• In collaboration with Head of HR, liaising with the relevant Head Office and HR teams, identify development needs and implement training strategy and operations that support company's strategic plans
• Facilitate in‐house development programs and assist in ensuring training objectives are in place for all employees.
• Oversee all training & development related administration documentation
PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT
• Ensure effective performance reviews and HO programs which are designed to measure individual performance
• Oversee and manage performances reviews to identify opportunities for improvement and challenges.
• Manage performance management issues/meetings
RECRUITMENT
• Manage the recruitment and onboarding process supported by the HR Business partners and together with HR Head Office colleagues
Required Experience
Proven experience in defining HR policies and procedures to ensure employment and work practices demonstrate a thorough understanding of applicable laws and regulations, while also being aware of the company's larger human capital resources objectives
Proven experience in management and application of grievances, disciplinaries and performance management or employee relations issues
HR Experience in international financial services industry
Required Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge
Educated to Degree level
CIPD qualified or studying towards this qualification
Proven ability to coordinate teams across different jurisdictions
Understanding of banking compensation regulations generally
Able to analyse complex information (e.g., legal and regulatory texts)
Proven ability to grasp new concepts quickly and a curiosity for learning new things
Excellent communications skills; verbal & written
Proficient knowledge of the Italian language highly desirable and preferred
Enjoys high volume, fast paced environment
Ability to manage projects, good time management and organizational abilities
Strong work ethic, attention to detail and an organized approach to tight deadlines and deliver results under pressure
A great team-player with a high level of integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality
Microsoft Office at intermediate/proficiency level
Highly organised and self-motivated with a pro-active problem solving attitude.
Good leadership skills and ability to build strong relationships
Flexible and able to deliver high standards of work.
