Scope and Purpose

 

  • Provide support to the Head of the Emerging Markets Bond Syndicate covering all aspects of bond syndication and origination process.
  • Working in cooperation with the Relationship Management units of the CIB Division, and within Debt Capital Markets team, help originate, execute and distribute public and private bond transactions for global Emerging Markets issuers.
  • In coordination with Head Office DCM & Debt Syndication, Fixed Income Sales in London, Milan and New York, as well as Fixed Income Trading desks, help run the syndication and placement phase of public and private placements into institutional investor base.
  • Running the Emerging Markets section of the daily internal DCM call;
  • Monitoring the market and keeping track of trends and new transactions;
  • Coming up with optimal market access recommendations for issuer clients;
  • Creating and maintaining bond pricing models for issuer clients;
  • Providing syndicate input for internal and external market updates and pitches;
  • Assisting the Head of Syndicate on issuer client calls and/or meetings with market updates and other relevant inputs;
  • Managing marketing, as well as deal and non-deal roadshow strategies for issuers;
  • Managing all aspects of book-building and allocation process;
  • Managing post-trade tasks;
  • Liaising with other departments relevant to the primary issuance process.

Required Experience

 

  • Prior experience in capital markets (front, middle, or back office); experience with Emerging Markets is a plus;
  • Understanding of Debt Capital Markets product and process; prior experience in/with DCM teams is a plus;

Required Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge

 

  • Undergraduate/graduate degree in Economics/Business and/or other subjects relevant to the role;
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel; prior experience with Bloomberg is a plus.
  • Ability to form market views spanning from global macroeconomic trends to primary market conditions for Emerging Markets bond issuers;
  • Ability to formulate concise recommendations in an eloquent manner, both verbally and in writing;
  • Knowledge and understanding of processes and regulations of fixed income primary markets.
