Scope and Purpose

 

Fideuram Asset Management UK Limited (FAM UK) is looking to recruit a qualified and experienced professional to oversee its Operations and Outsourcing control activities. The successful candidate will join a dynamic, enthusiastic and international team of highly skilled professionals working collaboratively towards providing value-added investment management and research services for its clients.

 

The successful candidate will be required to carry out the following core tasks as well as business activities as they arise:

  • Coordinate Outsourcing internal compliance including Customer Satisfaction surveys, performing Annual Due Diligence, maintaining the outsourcing register, partnering with group utilities, and regularly reviewing KPIs.
  • Provide operational support to the Portfolio Management desk and supervise daily activities of the Middle Office at the local level.
  • Oversee Management Accounting including cost management, invoice controls, external audit support, tax, and regulatory data submissions.
  • Provide regulatory operations, including MiFID/R T+1 transaction reporting and supporting the control environment of reconciliation, exception queue monitoring and quality assurance testing.
  • Coordinate Business Continuity activities including managing tests, facilitating training, partnering with division and group utilities, and maintaining documentation to ensure internal compliance.
  • Act as Health & Safety Coordinator, maintain policies and procedures and organising staff training.
  • Coordinate all internal IT needs including updating IT Security Plans and other internal compliance documentation, providing software and hardware management in partnership with parent entities, and DR testing.
  • Ensure 1st line operational risk and compliance including contributing to surveys, internal risk register, maintaining procedures and coordinating with internal audit.
  • Membership of internal committees and provide reporting to the Board of Directors.

Required Experience

 

15 years+ financial services experience working across Operations & IT including 5 years+ in a leadership role.

 

Required Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge

 

  • Good working knowledge of Bloomberg and Aladdin systems is a bonus.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other MS Office suite-packages.
  • Strong understanding of MiFID post-trade transaction reporting.
  • FI, Equities, FX, and Total Return Swaps and/or broader derivatives experience.
  • A demonstratable strong control mentality.
  • Fluency in English is essential, knowledge of the Italian language is a plus.
  • The flexibility and open mindset to work within a small team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent time management, problem solving, analytical skills and high attention to detail.
  • Ability to deal positively with challenges and time pressures.
  • Creative and open to drive positive change in working processes.
