Fideuram Asset Management Ireland dac (FAMI) is the Irish investment management company of Fideuram Intesa Sanpaolo Private Banking, the Italian and European leader in the financial services sector, owned by the Intesa Sanpaolo Group, one of the main Italian financial groups. FAMI was founded in Dublin in 2001 in the Irish Financial Services Center and currently manages approximately EUR 42 billion invested in over 160 UCITS fund sub-funds.
FAMI is currently looking for the Head of Organisation and IT desk, part of the HR, Business Support and Operations area.

Characteristics of the role

 

The role is to lead the activities needed to allow an orderly functioning of the corporate structure – i.e. process review, procedure updates, etc. – and to oversee all the organizational aspects. The Desk Manager also guides all projects and activities with an impact on the corporate structure and the organization broadly speaking. The Manager will have to interact with all relevant subjects - both internal to the organization and/or external - in order to coordinate the activities necessary to carry out each specific project within the defined deadline. The Manager must identify potential problems during the execution phase of the project as well as suggest appropriate corrective actions to be proposed to the project team and / or the Company's Senior Management. The Head of Organisation and IT is in charge also of all activities pertaining to IT aspects both executed internally or by the relevant outsourcers.

 

Activities

 

  • Ensure the correct definition and the appropriate update of the corporate procedures
  • Oversee all IT activities both executed internally or by relevant external outsourcers/suppliers
  • Manage the commercial aspects with information providers and other IT providers
  • Coordinate all the activities necessary to implement the assigned projects referred to new activities/amendment of current activities if needed also acting as Project Manager (PMO) towards the relevant offices both internal and external to the Company involved in the project
  • Ensure the orderly and timely execution of project activities
  • Report any misalignment from the predefined deadlines to Senior Management with indication of possible corrective actions
  • Prepare presentations for each Committee / meeting in order to represent the progress of each specific project

Required experience

 

At least 5 years' experience as Head of Desk in a similar position

Competencies, skills, qualifications required

The core skills are:

  •  In-depth understanding and experience on organizational aspects peculiar for a UCITS Management Company
  • Knowledge of the relevant regulations for the development of UCITS funds and of the operating models prevalent in the market
  • Proven ability to participate in complex projects with multiple stakeholders and multiple strategic objectives in different areas
  • Proven knowledge of Cyber security aspects
  • In-depth and multi-year knowledge of MS Office
  • Bachelor's degree in business / economics / finance

The successful candidate also has the following characteristics:

  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Italian. Knowledge of French would be an additional advantage
  • Excellent time management, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work under pressure by defining and respecting crucial deadlines for the execution of complex project activities
  • Ability to lead commercial negotiation with suppliers in the IT/information providers area
