FAMI currently manages approximately €42 billion worth of assets with over 160 sub funds. FAMI is regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland.

Scope and Purpose

 

Reporting to the Head of Desk, the successful candidate will be required to carry out the following core tasks:

  • Transmission of Equity Cash and Derivatives orders for a variety of funds and investment styles/strategies.
  • Control of orders and ensuring of Best Execution through TCA (Transaction Cost Analysis).
  • Reporting activity and occasional project work.
  • Monitoring of broker-share and execution quality statistics
  • Management of key relationships with Portfolio Managers, brokers and colleagues in Dublin, London, Milan and at other offices within the Group.
  • Value-add to overall investment processes through communication of relevant and real-time market information to Portfolio Manager colleagues.

Required Experience

 

At least 5 years experience working on a Dealing Desk for an Asset Manager or Broker operation.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge

 

  • A third level degree, in Business/Economics/Finance.
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office and Bloomberg with experience of electronic, algo and quant trading.
  • Knowledge of the Aladdin trading system would be an advantage, though not essential.
  • Fluency in English is essential.
  • Ability to work within a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent time management, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to deal positively with challenges and time pressures.
  • A genuine interest and curiosity in Financial Markets.
