Scope and Purpose

The Global Relationship Manager will guarantee the commercial management and achievement of profitability, with a primary focus on Latin America - Central & South American Banks and Financial Institutions. He/She will:  Ensure the profitability of the groups in the portfolio, primary focus on banks and financial institutions in Central and South America (focus on Brazilians) counterparties, by outlining booking activities, while observing risk goals  Oversee the progress of the relationship, the economic performance, the development of cross-selling and the risk profile of the relevant customers, with the aim of maximizing total relationship profitability  Assist in monitoring the performance of key economic and industrial sectors within his/her responsibility, providing customer analysis, and planning optimal, commercial, strategic initiatives for the development of the relationship  Provide support in defining the budget for the relevant groups, by planning optimal commercial strategies with the support of the Division marketing function, relying on the cooperation of the Senior Origination Banker and Origination Managers  Authorize the rates and conditions for the products and services for reference customers within his/her field of autonomy in coordination with HO's indications  Coordinate the commercial activities of the Relationship Managers for relevant customers, proposing budget and guiding their commercial activities in conjunction with Direzione Financial Institutions in HO and the International Department  Assess credit proposals and the group's credit limits for customers in the portfolio, ensuring the submission of proposals to the competent functions and proposing the allocation and optimal use of credit lines at Group level  Manage the overall credit risk profile of customers in the portfolio in coordination with the other competent functions, and report any signs of deterioration  Ithe structuring of Global Markets investment Banking operations in collaboration with the relevant product units of the CIB Division, contributing as coordinator in the establishment of the working teams and the execution of the operation  Negotiate and enter into contracts and maintain relationships with counterparties belonging to the Public Administration, when allocated to his/her portfolio in line with sub-delegated management powers, as defined by applicable internal regulations and in compliance with applicable laws 

Required Experience

 Minimum 10 years Banking experience, with a focus on coverage of Latin America - Central & South American Banks and Financial Institutions  Practical experience in managing the overall credit risk profile of above mentioned customers in a portfolio 

Competencies Required

 Bachelor Degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or related field  MBA, a plus  Fluency in Portuguese a must, fluency in Spanish a plus  Strong relationship and interpersonal skills  In depth understanding of the full range of Global Markets and Investment Banking products  Potential to immediately make a commercial impact and P&L contribution  Marketing and customer relations - Ability to effectively identify and develop customer relationships with clients / prospects that will generate profitable business transactions.  Proven track record in banking international and global banks headquartered or based in Central/South America  Managerial - Ability to manage/motivate oneself and lead a team of business professionals  Network knowledge- Understanding of the Bank's global network, its resources and products  Ability to engage with professionals of different product and relationship teams, maintaining the ultimate responsibility and supervision of each transaction to successful conclusion
