NY - Trade and Receivables Finance Director

Scope and Purpose

- Originate, structure and execute transactions within the trade, supply chain and receivables space with counterparties including corporates financial Institutions and platform providers in the Americas.
- Maintain relationships with Corporates, Banks & Trade Counterparties together with, wherever appropriate, the Relationship Managers
- Assist the Relationship Managers in structuring transactions as per clients specific requirements
- Perform client, market and product due diligence to support regular business requirements
- Prepare terms sheets, proposals and negotiate finance documents as appropriate
- Ensure that the proposed transactions meet compliance and other applicable regulatory requirements
- Support the preparation of credit proposals
- Perform all necessary monitoring/reporting activities for transactions in the portfolio
- Comply with all audit, compliance and control requirements in relation to the portfolio 
- Update databases,  applications and CRM tools relevant to specific activity

Required Experience

5+ years of experience in trade finance

Competencies Required

- MBA and / or Degree holder in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines 
- Strong deal origination, structuring and execution capability with both financial and corporate counterparties
- Direct working experience in:
   a)    Supply Chain and A/R Finance, Factoring and Traditional Trade Finance;
   b)    Executing trade deals across various supply chain and A/R platforms, including banks and technology providers;
   c)    Structured Trade Finance (ECA and export finance)
- Strong MS Office & PC skills
- Strong relationship and interpersonal skills 
- Ability to engage with professionals of different product and relationship teams, supervision and execution of all aspects of a transaction to achieve successful conclusion
- Strong initiative and adaptability
- Ability to work independently and self-motivate
