NY - Structured Finance - DIRECTOR (Portfolio Management & Loan Agency)

Scope and Purpose

• Negotiate and structure amendment/waiver requests appropriately, to protect the credit profile of the transaction and safeguard the interests of the Bank. Review legal documentation and due diligence with internal and external legal counsel.
• Lead the process and discussion in sensitive cases/restructurings/workouts.
• Have complete oversight of the portfolio and be the single point of contact internally in relation to all portfolio matters.
• Support the team in processing amendments, waivers and any other related tasks for transactions in the Structured Finance portfolio. 
• Support the team in conducting periodic (annual/quarterly) reviews of projects in the portfolio including but not limited to review/analysis of project progress/IE reports, compliance certificates, financial statements etc. 
• Support the  team in conducting annual renewal of ratings for all projects in the portfolio. 
• Coordinate with various departments and functions within the Bank including Structured Finance origination team, Legal department, Credit & Risk management functions, Loan Operations/Back Office and Middle Office. 
• Support department head in interactions with internal risk management committees and regulators/examiners.
• Support team in carrying out various reporting tasks including but not limited to 
    a.    Detailed reports for submission to internal Risk committees.
    b.    Reports for submission to various internal and external stakeholders such as  auditors/regulators/examiners
    c.    Deal pipeline to be reported to management
    d.    Tracking of team budgets
    e.    Other ad-hoc requests on a case to case basis 
• Support team in interfacing with Back Office and Middle Office as required to ensure proper administration of Structured Finance portfolio, carry out any ad hocs tasks in this relation.
• Attend meetings (in person or telephonically) with clients, other lenders and various consultants and advisers (such as outside counsel, IE etc.)

Required Experience

• 12-15 years of supervising and managerial experience in coordinating portfolio management experience 

Competencies Required

• Undergraduate in Finance, BA or Accounting with minimum of 7-8 years of relevant experience in a similar role or financial institution OR Post-graduate with a Master's Degree in Business Administration and 4-5 years of relevant experience • Excellent verbal and written communication skills demonstrating the capacity to "condense" issues and offer recommendations • Exceptional analytical skills including ability to manipulate complex financial models to test different business cases, analyze financial statements, read and understand legal contracts and generally keep abreast of relevant industry developments • Ability to work on a broad array of accounts simultaneously to deliver required outcomes, possessing a self-starter attitude and ability to meet tight deadlines • Ability to supervise, direct and mentor a team of analysts/associates in portfolio management tasks • Team player with well-developed inter-personal skills and ability to collaborate and co-ordinate to accomplish tasks • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite required, knowledge of Bloomberg, CapIQ/RatingsDirect etc. a plus • Familiarity with rating agency methodologies desired
