NY - Junior Credit Analyst

Scope and Purpose

Main activities:

•            Provide timely analysis of credit applications originated by the New York Branch's Structured Finance Desk concerning Project Finance, Leveraged & Acquisition and Real Estate transactions;

•            Analyze transaction structures, market characteristics, business plans and financial models to assess the credit worthiness of proposed transactions;

•            Interface with the Structured Finance Desk in a proactive manner to efficiently address credit/structural issues to mitigate risks for the Bank.

Required Experience

Good skills in analysing financial statements, financial models and business plans with a basic understanding of structured finance and real estate transactions. Previous experiences in structured finance deals are a plus.

At least a 2-3 year experience in corporate Credit Underwriting, preferably across several industry sectors.

Competencies Required

•            Bachelor's Degree in Economics/Finance or Engineering;

•            Experience in financial analysis, financial projections and strong analytical skills to assess complex financing structures.

•            Strong analytic mindset, flexibility and excellent teamwork skills;

•            Good level of proficiency in Excel and knowledge of financial models;

•            Solid communication skills (written, verbal).

Required Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge

Preferred qualifications: Master's Degree or other post graduate studies in project finance, M&A or structured finance transactions.

Italian language proficiency will be a plus.
