NY - Associate - Primary Markets, DCM Syndication Desk

Scope and Purpose


• Liaise daily with the DCM Origination Desk and Management to ensure best deal execution from mandate to pricing
• Provide thoughtful pricing updates and market commentary
• Support the DCM originators in drafting and creating client presentation materials and updates
• Identify & define funding trends and opportunities
• Support the deal execution process
• Provide input and views related to Liability Management transactions
• Maintain close dialogue with DCM Origination team
• Develop extensive network of internal and external industry contacts
• Work as part of a team to maximize business opportunities
• Work in close relationship with the other investment banking/capital market departments of ISP IMI Sec. and the relationship managers in ISP
• Support live transaction coordination with the DCM/Syndicate groups and internally with Legal, Compliance and Credit groups

Required Experience


• 2 to 3 years practical experience in DCM Syndication and/or Debt Capital Markets
• Experience working with DCM Originators to advise issuing clients, structure transactions and place new issue deals into the market
• Knowledge of banking, capital markets, and wholesale operational processes & controls
• Experience working under pressure and meeting deadlines
• Ability to apply sound analytical thinking

Competencies Required


• Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Economics • Thorough understanding of Accounting, Investments and the Financial Market • Knowledge of Capital Markets and Fixed Income products • Series 79 and 63 Licenses • Fluency in Italian, a plus • Strong interpersonal and organizational expertise with outstanding personal and professional judgment • Team player with a strong work ethic and a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize and work on multiple workstreams • Excellent written communications skills • Advanced computer proficiency in Excel/PowerPoint/Microsoft Office Suite
