Scope and Purpose

•    Act as primary lead in the execution of transactions 
•    Lead and manage the complete process from origination, recording of opportunities, compliance, environmental, country risk, treasury, industry support, involved in obtaining credit approval; prepare, finalize and submit credit proposals/applications in coordination with various internal departments and closely following the relevant policies and procedures
•    Monitor the relevant Borrower Accounts under the portfolio of responsibility, demonstrating pro-active management and an ongoing dialogue with clients.  Negotiate and structure amendment/waiver requests, with the aim of protecting  the credit profile of the transaction and safeguard the interests of the Bank. 
•    Review legal documentation and perform all due diligence required with the assistance of internal and/or external legal counsel
•    Lead the process, negotiations, and discussion in sensitive cases / restructurings / workouts.
•    Have complete oversight of the assigned portfolio and be the single point of contact internally in relation to all portfolio matters related to the assigned portfolio (with the assistance of the Portfolio Manager).
•    Support the SFA team in processing amendments, waivers and any other related tasks for transactions in the Structured Finance portfolio. 
•    Support the SFA team in conducting periodic (annual/quarterly) reviews of projects in the portfolio including but not limited to review/analysis of project progress/IE reports, compliance certificates, financial statements etc. 
•    Support the SFA team in conducting annual renewal of ratings for all projects in the portfolio. 
•    Coordinate with various departments and functions within the Bank including Structured Finance portfolio team, Legal department, Credit & Risk management functions, Loan Operations/Back Office and Middle Office. 
•    Support department head in interactions with internal risk management committees and regulators/examiners.
•    Support SFA Portfolio team in carrying out various reporting tasks including but not limited to:
        o    Detailed reports for submission to internal Risk committees.
        o    Reports for submission to various internal and external stakeholders such as  auditors/regulators/examiners
        o    Deal pipeline to be reported to management
        o    Tracking of team budgets
        o    Other ad-hoc requests on a case by case basis

The salary range for this job offer would be 185.500 - 265.000 USD.

Required Experience

• Approx. 8-12 years of operational experience in Project Finance deal structuring • Direct experience with Financial Institutions, Legal Counsel, Independent Engineers, Industry Consultants and key Project Finance Sponsors; business connections and/or leads, a plus. • Actual experience originating new business opportunities and preparing and finalizing credit applications • Practical experience leading the execution of project finance deals • Practical experience negotiating and mitigating all aspects of a transaction with all different counterparts involved 

Required Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge

• Undergraduate Degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting with a minimum of 8-12 years of relevant experience in a similar role in a financial institution OR Post-graduate education with a Master's Degree in Business Administration and 8-12 years of relevant experience • Strong credit, analytical and financial modelling skills • 8-12 years in structuring and executing Structured Finance deals or supervision and management experience in active portfolio management • Proven track record in executing Structured Finance deals in North or South America • Expertise in developing relationships with sponsors (strategic or financial), contractors, advisors, other leading banks and counterparts involved in project finance deals • Excellent track record in originating and negotiating new business opportunities • Exceptional quantitative skills, as well as Legal documentation expertise
