Scope and Purpose


• Support the local Compliance & Anti Financial Crime department as a senior specialist in managing the following functions for the operations performed by Intesa Sanpaolo S.p.A. Frankfurt Branch:
   o    Capital Markets & Securities Compliance
   o    Corporate Compliance
   o    Anti Money Laundering
   o    Anti Terrorist Financing
   o    Anti Bribery, Corruption and Fraud Prevention
   o    Financial Sanctions & Embargoes
• Ensure a smooth and seamless information flow towards the Head Office Compliance and Anti Financial Crime Departments 
• Ensure adequate policies and procedures are in place covering all key areas mentioned above
• Support the local team in managing - jointly with the branch general manager - the relationships with the German regulatory authorities and act as a contact person for external queries
• Deal with internal and external auditors managing Compliance- and Anti Financial Crime-related inspections
• Monitor on an ongoing basis changes to external rules and regulations and promptly inform the towards the Head Office Compliance and Anti Financial Crime Departments with an action plan suitable to manage implementation of necessary changes to the internal control environment
• Provide advice to all management and staff of the branch and other stakeholders related to all German Compliance and AFC related matters in full compliance with European regulations and ISP Group's policies and guidelines 
• Perform risk assessments for all relevant Compliance & AFC areas
• Plan, organize and support the execution of second level controls on key areas, procedures and controls to ensure full compliance with local as well as ISP Group's policies and guidelines
• Support the implementation of mitigating measures to further improve the effectiveness and the efficiency of the overall Compliance & AFC control system in accordance with the relevant structures of the Group
• Manage the execution of transactions and the opening and maintenance of existing business relationships with high risk customers, from a Compliance & AFC point of view
• Plan, organize and deliver Compliance & AML training to all staff of the Frankfurt branch;
• Manage the delivery of local and Group management reports as well as regulatory reporting to relevant authorities in accordance with the relevant structures of the Group
• Manage other ad-hoc tasks and projects

Required Experience


• Minimum of 10 years' work experience in a Compliance and/or AML function within the financial services industry, ideally in a Corporate & Investment Banking environment 

Competencies Required


• University degree in law, finance, economics, business administration and/or related experience
• Positive attitude towards colleagues and the organisation to ensure seamless communication; 
• Very good knowledge and experience in applying local and international anti money laundering and economic sanctions laws and regulations (in particular GwG, AuA etc.)
• Very good and detailed knowledge of European and international Compliance laws and regulations (including but not limited to, MiFID, WpHG, MaComp etc.)
• Good understanding of corporate and investment banking products, processes and services (including trade finance, OTC derivatives, credit and financing business)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to research laws and regulations and provide advice on the applicability within a given environment
• Ability to work under pressure, produce high quality work to meet challenging deadlines
• Strong knowledge and experience in managing local regulatory requirements;
• Extensive experience in conducting risk assessments;
• Ability to synthetize large volume of information and identify key issues;
• Fluency in German and English is essential, verbally and in writing, additional Italian language skills are a plus
