Scope and Purpose

The Risk Analyst will be required to participate maintaining and developing the risk framework practices and procedures of the Company.
Responsibilities will include:
•    Monitor risk appetite and investment limits
•    Work with existing market risk models and propose solutions where weaknesses are identified in testing or where the business needs require enhancements
•    Maintain and develop quantitative models of market risk including VaR and stress testing of regulatory capital
•    Participate proactively at the "Solvency 2" maintenance with the aim of enhancing the enterprise risk management system
•    Prepare reports and analysis for presentation to senior management, Committees and regulators
•    Interact confidently with the other components of the Risk Management group and with other colleagues in the Company
•    Liaising with the Risk Management office of Parent Company when appropriate
•    Other activities, permanent or temporary, as delegated by the up-line.

Required Experience

•    At least 3 years work experience in insurance companies, preferably in the life insurance field
•    Previous experience in living abroad will be seen as an asset

Competencies Required

•    Educated to postgraduate level, with an excellent academic record in actuarial sciences or a quantitative field (mathematics, physics, statistics, etc.).
•    Ability to use MS Office package
•    Programming skills and experience are essential, preferably in Matlab, SQL and/or Python 
•    Knowledge of Solvency II framework
•    English and Italian language skills essential (should the preferred candidate not have fluent English or Italian we would however consider an undertaking to study the language and attain a set level of proficiency within a given timeframe)
