Scope and Purpose

 

  • Promote the offering of the Bank's products and services to relevant Italian customers in the Americas region, in coordination with the relationship functions of the BDT Division and the Global Corporate Department
  • Manage a portfolio of large and complex corporate customers (Fortune 500/Fortune 1000)
  • Complete in-depth evaluations on corporate and investment banking transactions
  • Coordinate the execution of business transactions in collaboration with local functions and Head Office staff
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling other Bank products and services, as appropriate
  • Cooperate with local product units (Syndication, Trade and Structured Trade Export Finance, Project and Acquisition Finance, FX and OTC derivatives Desk, etc.) in order to maximize the share of wallet with actual clients
  • Develop new relationships with prospect clients - Support the Global Relationship Managers and Head of Industries based in Head Office in developing new business opportunities in the Americas
  • Participate in targeted commercial activities conducted on wholesale banking products for the customers assigned to a respective GRM
  • Promote targeted commercial activities conducted on wholesale banking products for customers in absence of the GRM, with support of the Head of Corporate Desk
  • In collaboration with the Branch product desk and the support of the HCD, proactively contribute to managing business relationships with Italian customers operating abroad, offering and/or cross-selling commercial banking products and services based on relationship guidelines
  • Monitor economic performance trends of portfolio customers by implementing necessary corrective actions and coordinating with the parent company's GRM/RM
  • Monitor the credit facilities and the customers' overall risk profile, ensuring they remain within bounds of approved Company policy and practice
  • Ensure proper onboarding and periodic reviews of Corporate Customers, as per Bank's KYC policy and procedures
  • Manage general credit risk profile of customers in the portfolio and report any signs of deterioration
  • Implement assignment/surety revision proposals and acquire all legal and contractual documentation and necessary guarantees
  • Authorize rates and conditions for commercial banking products/services within his or her area of control  and submit for General Manager/GRM reference or assessment as required
  • Maintain relations with Local/Public Authorities in accordance with sub-delegated management powers, to ensure compliance with applicable laws and national legislation, including Italian legislative decree 231/01

Required Experience

 

  • Extensive client relationship management experience and ability to foster productive business relationships
  • Proven corporate coverage experience within an international financial institution
  • Relevant practical experience in all aspects of banking activities along with excellent negotiation, communication and sales expertise

Required Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting and business related working experience; MBA a plus
  • Approximately 10 years relevant client relationship management experience working with Fortune 500/1000 clients
  • Demonstrated track record of partnering with internal product teams (M&A, DCM, FX, DERIVATIVES,TRADE FINANCE, etc.)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the financial industry
  • Expert in credit review and financial analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective personal business relationships with clients (Fortune 1000)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of corporate and investment banking products
  • In-depth knowledge of credit agreements and legal documentation standards; expertise in credit and financial analysis
  • Strong negotiation, communication and sales skills
  • A self-starter with a strong sense of ownership, positive professional attitude and demeanor
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability with good judgement to act as the primary point of contact for all (operations/account maintenance related) client interactions, working with team members to ensure a timely response to all client question s and concerns

 

The salary range for this job offer would be 120k - 190k $
